The Indian Postal GDS Recruitment includes two main posts: Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM). These posts are also known as Gramin Dak Sevaks. The application process is entirely online.

Important Dates:
The application process for the Indian Postal GDS Recruitment starts on 15th July 2024 and ends on 5th August 2024. Candidates have 20 days to apply. For the first time, there is an opportunity for editing and correction of applications, which will take place from 6th August 2024 to 8th August 2024.

Job Description:
Branch Postmaster (BPM):
The Branch Postmaster (BPM) oversees the operations of the branch post office, managing postal services and ensuring efficient delivery of mails and parcels. They handle financial transactions, including savings accounts and insurance services, maintain records to ensure compliance with postal regulations, and provide customer service by addressing queries and concerns.
Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM):
The Assistant Branch Postmaster (BPM) is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and administration of the branch post office. They support the mail distribution and delivery processes, handle customer transactions and services, and maintain records to ensure the smooth functioning of the branch.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit:
For the Indian Postal GDS Recruitment, the minimum age requirement is 18 years and the maximum age is 40 years. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories receive a relaxation of 5 years, while OBC candidates receive a relaxation of 3 years. There is no age relaxation for EWS candidates. PWD candidates are eligible for a 10-year relaxation, PWD+OBC candidates for a 13-year relaxation, and PWD+SC/ST candidates for a 15-year relaxation.

Salary Structure:
The salary range for Branch Postmaster (BPM) positions is between Rs 12,000 and Rs 29,380. For Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) positions, the salary range is between Rs 10,000 and Rs 24,470.

Fee Details:
For the Indian Postal GDS Recruitment, male candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. However, female candidates, SC/ST candidates, PWD candidates, and transwomen applicants are exempt from paying any fee.
